About AliExpo 2024

The Alibaba E-Commerce Expo is Alibaba Group ANZ's flagship event program in Australia connecting brands and small businesses from Australia and New Zealand to the growing market in South East Asia and China.

Building on previous success of past 5 expos focusing on business-to-consumer, AliExpo in 2024 included business-to-business initiatives for brands in a range of categories including health, food and agriculture, and those with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) capacity looking to reach global markets and export opportunities.

The event took place at the International Conference Centre (ICC) in Sydney.

The Role of Brand Catalyser

Alibaba Group ANZ (formerly) having long-term partnership with the Brand Catalyser team, onboarded us as one of the leading agencies for their first flagship event since the pandemic. Being passionate about connecting local businesses with global opportunities, we were highly motivated to support this project.

Our team played a crucial role in multiple aspects of the expo, from planning and executing exhibitor engagement and visitor promotions, creating communication materials, managing social media and paid advertisements, handling public relations, to providing on-site support during the event, Brand Catalyser was deeply involved throughout AliExpo and takes pride in the overwhelmingly positive results.

Social Media Content Strategy

To effectively spread awareness and engage with our target audience, we incorporated a strategic mix of social media channels. Alongside English-dominant platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, and LinkedIn, and the Chinese platform WeChat, we expanded our media mix to include platforms like Little Red Book.

 Additionally, we introduced content in languages such as Vietnamese, Bahasa, Filipino, and Thai. This approach significantly enhanced Alibaba Australia's exposure as an e-commerce facilitator, connecting local businesses with global opportunities.
