Background: Strengthening Bendigo’s Tourism Appeal
For the past two years, Brand Catalyser has partnered with the Bendigo Tourism to promote their tourism campaigns. This year, we continued our partnership by promoting the Bendigo Tulip Display event on RED, targeting the Chinese community in Melbourne and across Australia from September to October.
The goal of this present campaign was to maximise exposure for the Tulip Display through collaborating with influencers in Melbourne. By combining pre-event promotions with on-site visits, we aimed to attract a large Chinese audience to attend the event.


Strategy: Leveraging Influencers for Maximum Impact
Brand Catalyser carefully selected 12 influencers with various follower tiers to create a balanced promotion. The influencers were chosen based on their connection with our target audience and their ability to generate engaging content. Pre-event campaigns helped build anticipation, while real-time coverage of the on-site visits captured authentic experiences that resonated with followers.
Results: Driving Engagement and Attendance
Our strategy resulted in more than 80,000 impressions and over 5,000 engagements, achieving an engagement rate exceeding 6%, which is significantly higher than industry averages. The campaign successfully boosted awareness of the Tulip Display among the Chinese community and drove attendance to the event.
